N12 accident leads to jetski recovery
Solid police work leads to the recovery of stolen goods.
Weekend operations conducted by the Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) once again yielded success.
• On March 27 at 18:30, members responded to a call of a trailer that had rolled at the N12 Amina Cachalia (Tom Jones) off-ramp.
“On the scene, officers discovered the trailer and the jetski on it had both been reported stolen in Bonkhorstspruit,” said WO Grant Giblin, spokesperson for the unit.

“The driver of the Hilux bakkie who was towing the trailer was arrested on the scene.”
• Three people were arrested in separate cases for being in possession of drugs.The arrests were made at Esselen Street, Daveyton and L+J informal settlement, Olifantsfontein.
Crystal methamphetamine, nyaope and cat were confiscated.
• Four abandoned vehicles were also recovered.
A silver Volkswagen Polo was found in Ntsane Street, Wattville. It was reported hijacked in Benoni.
A gold Toyota Fortuner was recovered in Extension Two, Ivory Park. It was reported hijacked in Olievenhoutbosch.
A white Toyota Quantum was found on the R562, Ivory Park. It was reported stolen at Northam.
A white international truck was recovered in Elgin Road, Pomona. It was hijacked in Mookgophong (Naboomspruit).
