Benoni SPCA cheer fund closes at R62 950
Donations opened early in October and run until the end of December.
All thanks to various businesses and kind individual contributions, the Benoni SPCA Christmas Cheer Fund total is R62 950.
Although slightly lesser than the previous amount of R73 000, the Benoni SPCA staff have expressed excitement.
Bronwyn Kleynhans, Benoni SPCA manager, said: “We are very grateful for the positive response we received from the public. We appreciate it.”
Kleynhans added that the donated funds haven’t been allocated for various projects.
The donations opened early in October and run until the end of December.
The purpose of the Christmas Cheer Fund is to raise funds to cater for the needs of all the furry friends that need to be fed and to provide Christmas and New Year’s treats to destitute pets during this period.
