The Litter Bugs Park and Pavement Clean-Up group held its first clean-up of the year on January 21 around the Lakeside fountain in Farrarmere.
The group was joined by community members of Farrarmere, Ashton International College learners and Tau Energy Drink employees.
The group, led by the founder of Litter Bugs Samantha Choles, filled 60 bags with litter.
Member Heather Griffon told the City Times that it’s important to keep the environment clean and healthy.
“It’s very important as there are small creatures that live among us and we live in a beautiful country, so we should keep it beautiful – even if it takes a couple of us to do it,” she said.
