Kids Haven makes donating easy peasy

Kids Haven is not just waiting on the public for assistance, they are finding ways to make it easier and more convenient for the public to help them.
“Please WhatsApp us to offer a donation to Kids Haven that we can also collect at your home,” said fund-raising coordinator Susan Daly.
“We can arrange collection or assist you with where to go to drop off the donation.”
The home needs second-hand clothing, toys and household items.
“We are especially grateful for toys in the run up to Christmas,” Daly explained.
Special donations for Christmas include non-perishable ‘dessert’ ideas for Christmas – tinned fruit, jelly, custard and so on.
“We are also collecting stationery, school shoes and white/grey socks and shirts/shorts for school in January,” she added.
The two WhatsApp numbers are 071 860 0505 and 069 345 8034.
The number is monitored by a social worker at Kids Haven who can be contacted by any local resident within Benoni if they have questions or concerns regarding child protection, violence against children or similar.
“Kids Haven is hoping that providing these two business WhatsApp lines, it will be easier for people to reach us specifically to arrange a donation or to seek help for a child,” Daly concluded.
