A couple of wins for BCC bowls
Earlier in the week, the women's team of Jackie Reeve and Mary Hannah won bronze in the Ekurhuleni Ladies Midweek League.
The Benoni Country Club (BCC) bowls men’s team, which consisted of Mike Tearnan and Terence Stopforth, attended the Ekurhuleni Men’s District Pairs 2021 Comp at the Alberton Bowling Club on November 21, bringing home the gold for BCC.
Tearnan and Stopforth played against Jacques Botes and Kobus du Toit from Kempton Park in the final, with the winning score being 21-12.
Bronze medalists, also from BCC, were Peter Stopforth and Craig Botha, who unfortunately lost out in the semi-finals to their BCC teammates.
Earlier in the week, the women’s team of Jackie Reeve and Mary Hannah won bronze in the Ekurhuleni Ladies Midweek League.
“A huge congratulations to all the winners and players for an immaculate last few comps. A good couple of tournaments all around for BCC,” said Stopforth.
