100% Foundation hosts sanitary pads drive

The founder of the 100% Foundation, Janap Biemba, said: “The Affinity Health and Affinity Funeral staff (in particular the maintenance team) was instrumental in making our donation to the school and other NGOs a reality.

To make young girls feel loved, protected, cared for and looked after was the 100% Foundation’s goal during its sanitary pads handover on November 9.

One hundred and seventy girls from Chief Albert Luthuli Primary School received essential sanitary pads and other goodies from the organisation.

The foundation’s members spent time with the young girls and motivated them about self-esteem while highlighting the plight of teenage pregnancy.

Louisa Molise from the Youngage Foundation addressed the learners and the Thapelo Community Services and Human Rights organisation conducted the motivational talks.

The founder of the 100% Foundation, Janap Biemba, said: “The Affinity Health and Affinity Funeral staff (in particular the maintenance team) was instrumental in making our donation to the school and other NGOs a reality.

“We had help from our amazing flamboyant security personnel, fondly known as Lee, who encouraged all the staff members to donate towards this important initiative.”

All the young girls left the event feeling motivated and educated.
