Franchise owner of Easterns Eagles Hockey 5’s, Shaun Taylor said it was great to be back.

“It was fantastic to have the players back on the field, and spectators back to support adding to the vibe and creating such a great atmosphere. Even with the long break from hockey, especially the school children that have not really been able to play this year, to see the talent coming through was and still is just fantastic.

“The sportsmanship and friendships is something that hasn’t gone away and it is an absolute pleasure to host the teams. The teams gave it their all this week and I can see the competition is going to build up over the next six weeks. We are looking forward to a great season.”

Their next games will be played on November 7 starting at 08.00.
