Residents can now collect new 240L Ekurhuleni wheelie bins at the depots

Residents going to collect their new 240L wheelie bins need to bring along their original identity documents and the municipal account statements.

The Ekurhuleni metro has acquired new wheelie bins and is requesting residents whose 240L wheelie bins are broken or stolen to collect new bins at the nearest waste management depot.

Upon collection of the new 240L wheelie bin, residents will be required to produce proof of a stolen bin through an affidavit acquired at the police station, and those with broken bins will have to bring them to the depot in exchange for a new one.

MMC for Environment Resources and Waste Management Services Makhosazana Mabaso said: “We thank our customers for their patience when we had challenges with the procurement of the 240L wheelie bins stock.

“We have enough stock available at our depots. Therefore, we are calling on all who have stolen or broken 240L wheelie bins to collect new ones at the city’s waste management depot near them.”

Residents going to collect their new 240L wheelie bins need to provide their original identity documents and the municipal account statements.

The Benoni Solid Waste Depot is at 4 Golden Drive.
