Titans T20 u-13 bash a great start for Supernovas

The Benoni Supernovas put up some phenomenal performances against the top opposition

Benoni Supernovas u-13 cricket team recently participated in the annual Titans T20 u-13 bash.

The best teams from Pretoria and Central Johannesburg competed from September 3-12.

The Benoni Supernovas put up some phenomenal performances against the top opposition but were not able to qualify for the finals.

The Jozi Heat team were the overall winners.

“The event was a great experience,” said Jonathan Aube, Supernovas coach and manager.

“The event was played at SuperSport Park Centurion and it was a full stadium, which was a great experience for the boys. What a great privilege and honour to play at this event.”

The following players represented their Supernova team: Matthew Gaul, Matthew Hickman-Steel, Stephan Vermaak, Hanroux Siemens, Corrie Botha, Tristen Fletcher, Keagan Hills, Levi Smit, Isaac Aube, Liam Haasbroek, Nathan King and Luke Stolle.

The team had some great success with some of the players named winners in the following categories:

Top 30 batsmen: Matthew Gaul, Matthew Hickman-Steel and Stephan Vermaak.

Top 20 bowler: Liam Haasbroek (16th overall)
