The Kit Kat Group’s fifth megastore opened on September 23, 2021, in Crown Mines, south of Johannesburg.
Conveniently located at 45 Press Avenue in Selby, Johannesburg (the old Edcon Distribution Centre), the store brings to the area bargains and a wide range that Kit Kat Cash & Carry has become known for over the past 30 years.
“The opening of our fifth Kit Kat Cash & Carry store extends our pledge to ensure our customers enjoy a pleasant shopping experience with great prices on quality products, catering to all their needs in one convenient location,” said Riaz Gani, CEO of the Kit Kat Group.
Kit Kat Cash & Carry offers everything from “bread to bricks” at highly competitive prices. Adding to Kit Kat’s basket of offerings that includes Kit Kat Clothing, Kit Kat Buildmart and Kit Kat Connect & Money, the Crown Mines store will offer a first-time partnership with Food Lover’s Market as well as a pharmacy, both anticipated to open soon.
Crown Mines will be a one-stop shop for everyone, with a range of over 20 000 items to choose from, available in retail and wholesale pack sizes. The location is easily accessible from main roads and the highway and provides ample parking for 608 vehicles, as well as a dedicated taxi drop-off.
It also offers free delivery in Gauteng on pre-ordered purchases over R500. The store’s team of 300 locally employed staff is there to assist, and 69 in-store till points will make your shopping experience as smooth as possible!
Grand opening day event and opening specials
The grand opening day of the Crown Mines store took place on September 23 and was a fun-packed event for the whole family, including activities for the children, exciting in-store demonstrations by suppliers and most importantly, great specials and low prices.
Kit Kat has a tradition of celebrating any partnership with a new community through festivities and giving, and the Crown Mines opening day was no exception. Kit Kat Crown Mines will be open Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 17:00, Saturday from 07:30 to 16:00 and on Sundays from 08:00 to 13:00. Opening specials will run from September 23 to October 20.
