Join this free webinar to help you survive and thrive in your matric year

The webinar will feature mental health and study support from registered a counsellor and clinical psychologist as well as input from a dietitian and biokineticist around nutrition and exercise.

Lean in? Stay away? It’s not easy knowing how best to support your child through the inevitable stresses of writing their matric exams.

It’s an experience that can be as challenging to parents as it is to learners, and you might need to be managing impacts on other family members too.

On August 14 and 21, the South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP) will be hosting two free webinars this month, one for matric learners and one for parents of such learners.

The Student Study Hack webinar will offer tips and practical tools to help matriculants identify the study approach that will work best for them, learn simple ways to use diet and physical activity to boost their well-being and perform at their peak, and easily put in place strategies that will keep them motivated, on-track and positive about getting through their matric experience.

The Parents’ Guide to Matric Support webinar recognises the pivotal emotional support role that parents play. During the webinar, experts will give a holistic approach to not just surviving but thriving through your child’s matric experience.

The webinar will feature mental health and study support from registered counsellor Kirsten Harrison and clinical psychologist Jogini Packery, as well as input from a dietitian and biokineticist around nutrition and exercise.

There will be an interactive Q&A session, to engage in conversation with the experts and learn from the concerns of other parents.

Matriculants can join the SACAP’s Student Hack webinar on August 14 from 10:00 to 11:30.
Registration is free and you can sign up here.

Parents can join the SACAP’s Parent’s Guide to Matric Support Webinar on August 21 from 10:00 to 11:30.
Registration is free and you can sign up here.
