EGBA players chosen for All Africa Badminton Team

Badminton trials were held recently from July 22 to 24, hosted by the Eastern Gauteng Badminton Association (EGBA) at their home turf John Barrable Hall in Benoni.
The best players from all provinces were invited to take part in the trials and the final team was then chosen for both the u-15 and u-19 age groups to represent South Africa as a team in the All Africa Badminton Championships that are to be held now in August, in Benin.
The provinces that were invited to the trials were Eastern Gauteng, Southern Gauteng, Free State, Limpopo, Border, Northern Cape, Western Cape, Kwa-Zulu Natal and North West.
The following EGBA players were selected for the teams:
• Nehal Thomas and Miguel Vigario were selected for the u-15 team
• Amy Ackerman and Robert White were selected for the u-19 team
