Local businesses collect donations for KZN relief

There are local businesses where you can drop supplies off for the needy in KZN.

Estate agencies

RE/MAX offices have joined forces with We are South Africans, a civil rights organisation formed in 2007, to provide drop-off points for food and supplies for those affected by the recent looting in KwaZulu-Natal as part of its #spiritofsouthafrica campaign.

The community can drop donations at the Benoni office, 45 Lakefield Avenue, or the Boksburg office at 249 Rondebult Road.

Adrian Goslett, regional director and CEO of RE/MAX of Southern Africa, said the business condemns the behaviour of those acting lawlessly during the protests.

“We encourage our network to provide any support they can while we navigate through these challenging circumstances. We hope that through the collective efforts of all South Africans, peace will soon be restored.”

Shoe store

Shoe Empire, 34 North Rand Road, Boksburg, is urging the community to assist with monetary donations for the KZN relief effort to buy baby formula, nappies and sanitary pads.

To donate and for more info, go to www.ashrafulaid.org.
