Etwatwa pastor publishes his first book

The book touches on different subjects such as God’s creation, the beginning, the eternal promise and the importance of knowing God personally.

Etwatwa pastor Fana Skosana wants to bring you closer to God with his new book Soul-Winning and Evangelism, which was published recently.

Skosana said his passion for preaching the gospel and his desire to win lost souls back to Christ no matter their race, creed and colour led him to write the book.

“With this book, I hope to reach thousands of souls through the word of God in the next five years (vision 2025). The Bible says in the first book of Timothy, chapter two verses four to five, ‘God wants all people to be saved and to come to acknowledge the truth’. Hence, the inspiration for writing the book,” said Skosana.

The 48-year-old explained that the book touches on different subjects, such as God’s creation, the beginning, the eternal promise and the importance of knowing God personally.

Skosana realised in 2015 he wanted to be an author after he read a book called Evangelism.

“After reading the book, I felt the desire and passion to write my book someday. I met Edna Cane Swannepoel from Mpumalanga who was willing to help me write the book.

“I am writing my second book with her assistance.”

Skosana said reaching out to those who are less privileged and helping people build a healthy relationship with God is what keeps him motivated.

The pastor is involved with numerous NGOs in Etwatwa and Daveyton.

“In 2020, we managed to donate about 150 school shoes and we recently built a soup kitchen for the community.

“We are now raising funds to donate food parcels to at least 10 young people who are from child-headed households. We would like to raise more funds so we can give more food parcels and clothes,” said Skosana.

Skosana is grateful to his wife, Zandile Jiyane, who has always been his biggest cheerleader, and everyone who had supported him through this journey.
