Easterns Local Football Association (ELFA) chairperson Bruce King recently sent out a release to all sports clubs, stating the following:

“Due to the rapid rise in Covid-19 infections in the country and a vast number of infections being experienced by some of our clubs daily, we have decided to stop all football, including training with immediate effect until June 24, whereby we will again review the situation.

“We understand that this will cause some issues in clubs; however, we believe that for the safety of all our members this is the correct decision.

“Please ensure that the aforementioned are strictly adhered to and please stay safe.”
