Body found dumped at a veld in Putfontein

The motive of the killing is unknown.

A body of a man believed to be in his late 30s was found on February 6 in a veld near Mayfield Extension Five, Putfontein, around 8am.

Spokesperson Sgt Raider Ubisi said police were called after the community saw the body in the veld.
“The deceased was found with his hands tied with a shoelace and he was wearing black track pants only,” said Ubisi.

“It is believed that the man might have been assaulted and killed somewhere and then his body was dumped in the area.”

The motive of the killing is unknown.

Police are urging any community members who may have witnessed the crime or have information that could assist with the investigation to come forward.

The Putfontein police are investigating a case of murder.
