Cobus Steenekamp, the hospital manager at Netcare Lakeview, offloaded the box filled with cupcakes meant for staff at the hospital.

Frontline workers at Netcare Lakeview Hospital and ER24 EMS received tokens of appreciation through generous donations from the public and the Dare To Love organisation.

Ward 28 councillor Mary Goby and her team started the initiative that is aimed at honouring healthcare workers who risk their lives every day to save lives fighting Covid-19.

The team dropped off 150 packs for staff at the Netcare Lakeview Hospital and 30 at the ER24 offices in Benoni.

The packs contained cupcakes, hard sweets, biscuits, cappuccino sachets, dried fruit small packs, peanuts packs, two-minute noodles, and juice or water.

The team intends on showing appreciation to various healthcare workers in Benoni.
