Bunny Park Food and Craft Market celebrates 20th anniversary

The market is run by Janine Richardson and her mother, Joan Gould, who couldn’t be more proud of this milestone.

Despite rainy weather, the Bunny Park Food and Craft Market was held on January 30 at the Bunny Park.

The market celebrated its 20th anniversary since it started in 2001. However, the market was on hold for two years while the Bunny Park was being renovated.

The market is run by Janine Richardson and her mother, Joan Gould, who couldn’t be more proud of this milestone.

Janine said they have enjoyed hosting the market as they are very passionate about it and they are looking forward to many more years.

“We are crafters ourselves and I believe that’s what helped us to run it so successfully throughout these years as we could relate to the crafters and we understand how difficult it is to make a living with craftwork,” said Janine.

“It is important for us to continue with the market because a lot of people depend on it. However, we hope things will get will better with the pandemic and we are looking forward to a productive year.”

The market is held every last Saturday of the month from 9am to 2pm.

The next market will be on February 27.

To book a stall, call Janine on 072 713 3332 or email at info@craftsinthepark.co.za.
