SA Legions Benoni grateful for donations

The SA Legion is a war veteran support organisation that addresses the needs of ex-service personnel and their dependents by way of housing, pensions, employment and general welfare.

The SA Legion Benoni collected R9 630 from the public this past weekend, which will go towards making life easier for war veterans who have been affected by the pandemic.

The members of the organisation were at various supermarkets around town collecting spare change from shoppers and also selling poppies, on November 14.

The SA Legion is a war veteran support organisation that addresses the needs of ex-service personnel and their dependents by way of housing, pensions, employment and general welfare.

Communications officer of the SA Legion Benoni Jessie Farmery said they thank everyone who donated for their generosity during this difficult time.

“Your gesture will enable us to feed the veterans and their families,” said Farmery.

The organisation also thanked St Dunstan’s College for their continuous support.
