Families of missing people urged to give DNA samples

They are looking at missing cases from October 2019 until recently.

The Putfontein police are calling on families who have reported missing people, preferably males, to come forward to give DNA samples after two bodies were found recently.

Putfontein SAPS spokesperson Sgt Raider Ubisi said residents should not be alarmed about giving the police their DNA, as it will only be used for the purpose of identifying the victims.

“These DNA samples are needed urgently to assist the detective in resolving these cases,” said Ubisi.

The families may contact the investigating officer Det Sgt Moswariseng Makofane on 079 522 4496 or the station on 011 845 6315 or Ubisi on 082 754 3600.
