Farrarmere author publishes fourth book

Lythgoe has also published Up is the Best Place to Be, Not from the Pulpit and When the Devil Drives.

Farrarmere resident James Lythgoe recently published a poetry book entitled Another Point of View which contains 50 poems that cover a variety of human emotions and historical interpretations.

Lythgoe described the book as a collection of poems of a diverse nature, some humorous, often lively and cynical that are the product of the author, which took two years to complete.

Having published three other books, the inspiration behind the fourth was sparked by winning a poetry writing competition in the United States.

The poem was selected as the poem of the month and was chosen as one of the top 100 poems of 2016.

“From then I was hooked. The book is a result of that fascination,” he said.

He also encourages those who wistfully boast that “with my experience I’m sure I could write a bestseller” to do so.

“Of course, it isn’t easy but the start is when you pen the first word,” he concluded.

Lythgoe has also published Up is the Best Place to Be, Not from the Pulpit and When the Devil Drives.
