Putfontein SAPS welcomes new detective commander

He boasts numerous accolades for being the best detective while he served at the Etwatwa SAPS over the past few years.

The Putfontein SAPS has a new commander of the station’s detective branch, Capt Goodman Khethokuhle Zulu, who was appointed on September 1.

Zulu fills the shoes of Capt Isaac Monashane, who has retired after serving the SAPS for 40 years.

Zulu, an Etwatwa resident who has been in the SAPS for 27 years, said he is looking forward to ensuring that the community of Putfontein feels safe and protected.

He boasts numerous accolades for being the best detective while he served at the Etwatwa SAPS over the past few years.

The 48-year-old officer was promoted to captain in 2018.

Zulu said he is committed to creating a good relationship with the community and will leave no stone unturned when investigating crime cases.

“My office will always be open to the public to share their concerns with me,” he said.

Putfontein station commander Lt Col Wellington Mathiane welcomed Zulu, saying he is looking forward to further strengthening the community and SAPS partnership to tighten the net for criminals.
