Three arrested in Daveyton for drugs and assault

Investigation continues in all cases.

Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) officers arrested three people in Daveyton over the weekend of August 28 to 30.

“The officers also recovered three motor vehicles,” said BFS spokesperson WO Grant Giblin.

“One was arrested in Esselen Street, Daveyton, for assault.

“Two were arrested after being found with drugs in Freedom Drive, Rabie Ridge, and Mabaso Street, Daveyton.
“Cocaine was confiscated in both instances.”

In further policing, three abandoned vehicles were recovered

• White Ford Ranger in Algeria Street, Thembisa, reported stolen on a Thembisa South case.

• White Nissan NP300 in Velelo Street, Daveyton, reported stolen on a Crystal Park case.

• White Scania Truck in Third Road, Bredell, reported hijacked on a Lyttleton case.

The suspects, aged between 19 and 44 years, will be appearing in the local magistrate’s courts facing a charge of possession of drugs and assault.
