BFS makes arrests outside of Benoni

Investigation continues in all cases.

The Benoni Flying Squad made no arrests in Benoni the past weekend, but that did not stop them from following up on crime tips in surrounding areas.

From June 19 to 21, the BFS officers made three arrests and recovered two vehicles in Norkem Park and Pomona.

“Officers arrested three on Sunday when they responded to a complaint in Caledon Street, Norkem Park, after it was alleged they had broken three windows of a vehicle,” said BFS spokesperson Grant Giblin.

“In further policing, two abandoned stolen vehicles were recovered, a FAW Horse and trailer at a truck stop in Maple Road, Pomona reported on a Klerksdorp case and a white Nissan NP200 on Modderfontein Road at Modderfontein Estate reported on a Wierdabrug case.”
