iThemba centre has found a new home

The previous premises was their home for two years.

The iThemba Rape and Trauma Support Centre, which was situated at 90 Howard Avenue, relocated to 119 Mowbray Avenue on May 29.

According to the public relations officer of the centre, Rose Maja, their previous home didn’t have enough space and wasn’t conducive for their clients, so they saw the need to find a new place.

This is not the only change iThemba made, they also had to say goodbye to manager Sandile Mafu and welcomed new manager Rosalia Mnisi.

Maja said she would like to make a plea to anyone who can assist them by donating non-perishable food.

“Since the lockdown started we have had clients who come to our office looking for food, finding that we have nothing to offer,”said Maja.

iThemba’s contact information (cm@ithembasupport.org.za, 011 422 4107) remains the same.

Keep your eyes peeled to the City Times for an interview with the new manager.
