Mr Benoni hands out parcels to residents in Daveyton

As the ambassador of Benoni, Jacob Nkwamba found it necessary to assist the community and make a difference in people's lives.

Crystal Park resident and reigning Mr Benoni Jacob Nkwamba recently gave out food parcels to the Daveyton community to assist those in need.

“Food parcels were delivered at Etwatwa and 35 families were assisted,” he explained.

“Each parcel consisted of mealie meal, Tastic rice, samp, soya mince, Royco soup, rooibos tea, sugar, cooking oil, cabbage, carrots, potatoes and tomatoes.”

Thirty five people were given face masks and bars of soap to wash their hands regularly.

Nkwamba said they were permitted to distribute the parcels and social distancing was practiced.

“Micheal Radebe, the community leader, helped to organise 35 needy families and they gathered at the Etwatwa library.

“People were also sanitised before receiving food parcels.”
