Ekurhuleni metro mitigates Covid-19 risks by screening employees

Constant screening will continue at different working stations in the coming weeks, said Gadebe.

The Ekurhuleni metro is conducting a mass screening of both essential workers, workers working remotely and employees who are currently in lockdown in accordance with governments guidelines on management of Covid-19.

This is in line with the level four lockdown regulations that require screening of all employees that are returning to their workplaces, and furthermore in contributing to the need to do more tests to detect any case of Covid-19.Ekurhuleni metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe said mass screening of employees will include questionnaire screening and temperature screening.

The metro has set aside three days to screen all its employees from May 4 to 6.
