BFS arrests 29 in and around Benoni

Investigation continues in all cases.

The Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) officers made 29 arrests in accordance with the Disaster Management Act Regulations, and recovered one motor vehicle recently.

“Officers arrested 29 suspects for contravening the Disaster Management Act Regulations around N12 highway, Geduld and Benoni,”said BFS WO Grant Giblin.

In further policing an abandoned silver Chevrolet Aveo was recovered at Tlama Tlama Section, Thembisa, after being reported stolen on a Thembisa case.

Giblin said the suspects, aged between 19 to 54 years, will be appearing in the local magistrate’s courts facing charges of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, dealing in drugs and contravention of the Disaster Management Act.
