An inquest docket was opened at the Putfontein SAPS after a man was found dead under a tree in Mayfield Extension One around 3.30pm.
Spokesperson Const Raider Ubisi said community members called the police after they saw that the man was unconscious.

“Police found the man lying under the tree with a bicycle next to him and community members confirmed that they saw him riding the bicycle,” said Ubisi.
“Paramedics were called and the man was certified dead.”
The deceased had no visible injuries.
Police urge anyone with information that might assist in allocating the man’s family to contact the station on 011 845 6315.
