Benoni SPCA cheer fund closes at over R45 000
A portion of the money will also be given to the hard-working staff at the SPCA.
The Benoni SPCA has exceeded the R 27 579 they made in 2018 by closing their Christmas Cheer fund at R 45 620, showing an increase in donations.
The Benoni SPCA’s chairperson Shelley Owens said: The Benoni SPCA committee and staff are deeply touched by the generosity of the public towards our Christmas Cheer Fund, and of course the support throughout the year for the animals of Benoni.

“We cannot thank you all enough for the support of the year-end fund, and in all the various other aspects such as donating, sharing adoption posts, volunteering and much much more,” she said
Funds donated were used to make the festive season and Christmas special for the animals in their kennels, including covering the cost of food and other essentials.
