The teams that competed in the tournament were Falcons from Wanderers Rosebank, Sino Brothers from Sandton, Knights from Kempton Park, Kwathema Bulls from Kwathema, and Aelen Stars from Benoni.

The finals saw the two top teams, Falcons and Kwathema Bulls, battle it out, with the Falcons, comprised mainly of over-40 players, taking the win.

“With commitment and passion for the game comes experience and this is what we aimed to show the residents of Ekurhuleni,” said coach Michael Murerwa.

“Many of our players are talented youngsters and have a skill set that needs to be showcased and exposed to enhance the sport in our community and this is what we at Aelen Management Sports Development Division intend to do.

“We raise stars.”
