Rynfield-based business gives back to the community

The decal is placed on the vehicles with DriveRisk call centre number, which the public can call to report on the driver’s behaviour.

A Rynfield-based business, DriveRisk, is offering the Report My Driving service free to all schools that run their own school buses, with specially designed decals targeting primary and high schools.

The decal is placed on the vehicles with DriveRisk call centre number, which the public can call to report on the driver’s behaviour.

The business has recently offered this service to St Dunstan’s College, Rynfield Primary School, Benoni High School, Shanan Christian School, and Arbor Primary School, with their school-owned transport already sporting the DriveReport decal.

Roland Leschinsky, DriveRisk senior client success manager, said this initiative is their way of giving back to the community and is offered to all primary and high schools in the greater Benoni area.

He explained that the programme utilises public contributions, by calling in to report on the driver behaviour, thereby encouraging driver accountability.

“Your driver is immediately under the constant scrutiny of millions of road users across the country, who can give immediate accounts of bad driving, visible vehicle faults and other incidents,” said Roland.

“The call and information regarding the incident is captured by our call centre and relayed to customers, eliminating admin and ensuring an efficient and reliable process of information sharing.”

Community members can also report good driving, as the drivers do receive incentives, so the positive feedback also reinforces good driving behaviour.

Schools that want to inquire about this initiative can contact Roland on 060 560 2755 or at Roland@driverisk.com
