The Benoni SPCA Christmas Cheer Fund kicked off again on November 1, and the organisation is hoping to exceed last year’s total of R30 000.

Vice chairperson Diane Wooldridge said the Christmas Cheer Fund has been running for about 13 years.

Funds donated will be used to make the festive season and Christmas special for the animals in their kennels, including covering the cost of food and other essentials.

Friendly staff members already in the Christmas spirit is Kirstin Luttig and James Madam.

A portion of the money raised will go to staff.
