Two arrested for possession of drugs and unlicensed firearm

Ekurhuleni district commander Maj Gen Vincent Leshabane, who was present at Etwatwa SAPS during the detaining of the two suspects, commended the work done by the officers.

On September 24, at around 11am, Etwatwa SAPS crime prevention officers on patrol were alerted by a community member to two men carrying a large firearm.

“The community member gave the officers a description of the suspects,” said Etwatwa SAPS spokesperson Capt Ramothakhi Maqabe.

“The officers followed up on the tip-off and found the suspects carrying the firearm in an open veld near the Isgqebhezana area.
