Police excellence rewarded

The Actonville SAPS was named Best station of the Year at the Ekurhuleni District Excellence Awards 2019 at Carnival City on September 11.

Station commander Lt Col Elsie Mashinini said she was proud to receive the award.

“I was very happy,” she said.

“We will aim to keep the award here for next year and continue our commitment to keep the community safe and protected.”

Actonville SAPS Const Mosebjadi Mojapelo was named Sportswoman of the Year for 2018/2019.

Mojapelo plays provincial soccer for the SAPS and is the only female in the team from the Ekurhuleni District.

• Admin Employee of the Year, level 1-4: J Malinga (Benoni SAPS)

• Admin Employee of the Year, level 5-7: D/Typist AP Makhado (Benoni Detectives)

• Vispol Employee of the Year, level 3-7 second runner-up: WO MA Gopane (Etwatwa SAPS)

• Vispol Employee of the Year, level 8-12 first runner-up: Lt Col SJ Sikhonde (Etwatwa SAPS)

• Detective employee of the year, level 3-7 first runner-up: Const WA Mamale (Benoni SAPS)

• Detective employee of the year, level 3-7 second runner-up: Det Const NS Monyethabene (Etwatwa SAPS)

• Admin Group of the Year, second runner-up: Etwatwa SAPS support

• Vispol Group of the Year, second runner-up: Etwatwa SAPS

• Man of the Year, first runner-up: Col MP Maoto (Etwatwa SAPS)

• Reservist of the Year: Const TK Kgoedi (Daveyton SAPS)
