Women stand up against abuse
The one-hour-march caught the attention of several motorists.
Approximately 40 women joined hands in a silent march recently on O’Reilly Merry Street, to raise awareness against women abuse.
Rynfield resident, Nikita Hynd chose to arrange the march in two days.
“Nikita is 19 years old, and an advocate for those who cannot speak up for themselves, for whatever reason that may be,” said her mother, Hayley Hynd.

“We have been watching the movement of women standing up and being counted and saying no more this past week and so Nikita decided that we should act and not just speak.”
“Every single one of us has been touched by violence against women in our country and so it’s not just about being a token but making our voices heard,” she added.
