Harriers share Aches and Pains after Comrades

The amusing element of the evening, which included the dishing out of the Funny Awards, culminated in the invitation from master of ceremonies Anand ‘Pink Panther’ Manilal, the self-styled sheriff, for non-finishers to board the symbolic Comrades Bus.

Benoni Harriers Athletics Club honoured their club members who ran the Comrades Marathon in a Wild West-themed traditional Aches and Pains awards dinner at Benoni Country Club last week.

Not only did the club pay tribute to those who took on The Greatest Human Race, but also hailed the often unsung volunteers and supporters who worked tirelessly behind the scenes along the 87km route between Durban and Pietermaritzburg.
