Police on manhunt for Etwatwa murder suspects

The motive of the killing is unknown.

A case of murder has been opened at Etwatwa SAPS after a number of unknown men shot another man dead on April 11, on the N12 near Etwatwa around 10pm.

Etwatwa SAPS spokesperson Capt Ramothakhi Maqabe said the deceased was driving on the N12 with two occupants when suddenly a group of unknown men appeared from an open veld.

“The alleged suspects started shooting at the deceased’s vehicle,” said Maqabe.

“The deceased drove into the veld and stopped the vehicle and the two occupants ran away.”

Maqabe said the suspects fled in a Toyota Fortuner which was later discovered in Barcelona after it collided with a shack.

The man was declared dead on scene by the paramedics.

No arrests have been made and the motive of the killing is unknown.
