Expert offers workshops for parents, caregivers on child protection

Each workshop is R220 per person and includes an attendance certificate and coffee/tea during the break.

Christa Rollin founder of the Sexual Assault Clinic in Benoni, has developed and presents two training programmes to bring awareness and provide tools to parents, teachers and other professionals with regard to sexual abuse and child sexuality.

These training workshops are held at the Greater Benoni Child Welfare offices, where the clinic is located, and they are titled The Monster Within and the Birds and Bees Talk.

The Monster Within is designed for parents and anyone who works with or is in contact with children. It offers awareness and guidance about the indicators of sexual abuse, the predators who commit abuse and the process and procedures to follow when reporting abuse.
