Protea Stage Productions elects new committee

The committee will oversee the everyday running of the society, including show decisions, matters arising and fund-raising ideas.

The Benoni-based amateur theatre society Protea Stage Productions held its annual general meeting to elect new committee members for the year on February 24, in Morehill.

Chairman Bob Stone said 2018 was a busy and successful year for Protea, having performed two major shows, Pocahontas and Jesus Christ Superstar.

“The financial success of the society was again due to a strong committee, young new directors, the excellent response from the audiences and the support given to Protea by Tom Newby Primary School,” he said.
