Metro office to close, healthcare centres still open

Despite the offices closing over the festive period, emergency and essential services will not be affected.

The Ekurhuleni metro offices will be closed from December 24 to January 2, next year.

Metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe said despite the closure of the offices, the 24-hour community healthcare centres will continue operating throughout the festive season.

“Primary healthcare clinics that operate during normal working hours will only be open on December 27 and 28 from 8am to 4.30pm,” said Gadebe.
