Daveyton author Tralone Lindiwe Khoza recently published a book called The Voice amongst the Eagles.
The book was published on August 20.
However, the official launch was on December 1.
The 37-year-old said the book represents the voice of every woman.
“It is an intrinsic collection of poems that includes autobiographical work from my early childhood memories, adulthood experiences, moments of personal reflection, and poems about triumphing against all odds,” Khoza explained.

“It also addresses critical socio-political events in South Africa, and it speaks to the reader, particularly women, on different levels, who will identify themselves with the material, so they can be inspired and laugh at themselves in the same breath.”
Khoza said we were created by God to fly like eagles (Isaiah 40 verse 31) and to subdue the earth (Genesis 1 verse 26).
The mother of two, she describes herself as a psalmist, prophetess, and a minister of the Gospel of Christ and lover of life.
Khoza said from a young age she has always loved books, especially poems.
“My late primary school teacher, Charles Baloyi, inspired me to read poetry and since then my life was never the same and I’ve also wanted to share my story with the world,” she said.
“I want to inspire women from all walks of life and help them to reach their destiny.”
One of her poems Black Eagles Fly High has been published in Best New African Poets 2016 Anthology.
Khoza is the founder of the Name of the Lord Christian Centre in Daveyton and the SA coordinator of the Women Poets International Movement (Mujeres Poetas International).

She holds a BA Communications degree from the University of Johannesburg and a post- graduate diploma in marketing from the IMM Graduate School of Marketing.
On the book, Khoza paid tribute to her late grandmother Xoshiwe Mnisi Nkobane and his family and children for their support.
