Benoni SAPS clerk calls it a day

The 64-year-old said her journey has been interesting.

Northmead resident Annatjie van Biljon, who has worked at the Benoni SAPS as the detective’s clerk for 22 years, retired at the end of October.

Van Biljon started working at the Kempton Park SAPS in 1993 and started to work at the Benoni SAPS in 1996.

She got to learn a lot within the SAPS and created friendships.

Everyone treated her with respect and appreciated her work.

Van Biljon plans to rest and spend time with her family and grandchildren.

Benoni SAPS detective’s group commander, Captain Glen Whitford, said they will really miss van Biljon, as her work was outstanding and they have big shoes to fill.

“She must enjoy her retirement and spending time with her grandchildren,” said Whitford.
