We tasked everyone who has come to see the launch of the only Viking ship in Africa to come up with a design for our tribute edition Wrangler. Entries from far and wide flooded in and surprised us all just how creative the East Rand can be when inspired by something as amazing as the Nordic Sea.

Plenty of thought went into selecting, firstly, a shortlist of about 20, then down to six and finally an ultimate winner, Teboho Mofokeng.

The prize was a R5 000 shopping voucher to East Rand Mall. Nothing could dilute this young man’s excitement when Daniel Bungay handed over the prize sponsored by Jeep East Rand at the dealership on Tuesday afternoon.

Teboho managed to capture the essence, authenticity and, above all, the passion of the Viking culture in his design.

This proves we all have a Viking inside somewhere.

For those who would rather stay on land, you can venture into unchartered territory in a Jeep Wrangler Viking Edition, whether it is the entry Shield version or the Big Dog featuring Shield, Sword and Axe accessories to put your Jeep in, an exclusive group of select few who dare to be different, exclusively available at Jeep East Rand.

“Always be yourself. Unless you can be a Viking, then always be a Viking,” concluded Daniel.
