Benoni Northerns Athletic Club juniors run like the wind to nationals in Port Elizabeth
The juniors represented Central Gauteng Athletics.
Three junior athletes from Benoni Northerns Athletic Club, Bester de Lange, Rachel Schwulst and Luke Schwulst, competed at the Central Gauteng Athletics (CGA) Cross Country Championships recently and were selected to represent the province at the South African Cross Country Championships in Port Elizabeth.
De Lange competed in the u-8 boys’ event at the CGA Champs and finished fourth to earn his qualification.
Rachel Schwulst finished second in the girls’u-10 event to earn her CGA colours and a ticket to PE.
Luke Schwulst finished in the top six at the CGA Champs to qualify for the national championships.
All three athletes finished in the top 50 of their respective events.
