A 50-year-old man is charged with Actonville murder

A case of murder was opened at the Actonville Police Station.

A 50-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in his late 20s at Harry Gwala informal settlement, Actonville.

The man was stabbed to death on August 14 at about 7pm.

Actonville SAPS spokesperson Captain Pheello Mothapo said it is alleged that the two men had an argument which led to the suspect stabbing the victim with a knife.

The victim was stabbed on the upper body, and certified dead by the paramedics.

The alleged suspect was apprehended immediately after the incident.

A case of murder was opened at the Actonville Police Station.

The suspect is expected to appear in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court soon.
