The Benoni police would like to question the man in this photo in connection with a common robbery case.
The incident took place on July 4 in the Benoni CBD.
Police said the man is believed to be in his 30s.
Benoni SAPS spokesperson Captain Nomsa Sekele said the man is a flyer distributor in the Benoni CBD and he grabbed a driver’s phone while he was giving him a pamphlet.
“After he grabbed the phone, he ran and dropped his passport,” said Sekele.
“We urge drivers to be vigilant when they stop at robots.”
