Eddy House dedicated two days (May 11 and 12) to appreciate their nurses and caregivers who go above and beyond what is expected of them.

General manager, Allan Geddes reminisced on the standard which was set by Florence Nightingale.

“We thank our nurses and retired nurses for all the care you give us,” he said.

Along with sweet words, came gifts for the caregivers.

Elizabeth Khumalo (care worker), Jeanet Walker (sister), Mary Homer (sister), Hilary Garbutt (sister) and Allan Geddes (manager).

Each gift also contained a pamphlet explaining the history of International Nurses Day, fun facts about Nightingale and the nurses’ pledge of service.
