Mystical Paw Prints, which is based at 162 President Brand Road in Rynfield managed to raise R5 281 through the project.
“This came from the dog washes, raffles, key rings and donations,” said charity co-ordinator Clarice Erasmus.
“I volunteer at the SPCA and Mystical Paw Prints have a good relationship with the organisation.
“If animals are adopted at the SPCA, then they receive a 50 per cent discount for their first dog wash at the parlour.”
Erasmus said although supporting all charities was important, they chose the SPCA because she knows the SPCA is a renowned brand known for its genuine love for animals.
Shelley Owens, the chairperson of the Benoni SPCA, said on behalf of the SPCA that she is so grateful for the donations and the outpouring of love from the community.
