The EMPD arrested 25 people for drunk driving on the N12 by the Putfontien off-ramp over the Easter weekend.
The operation was held in conjunction with the SAPS and the Gauteng Traffic Police from March 29 until April 2.

EMPD spokesperson Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago said the operation was aimed at drastically reducing the number of fatalities as well as the number of crashes.
A total of 62 arrests were made in the whole of Ekurhuleni and five accidents were recorded.
